The Challenge of Securing Noble Works

Old Fashioned

Expensive Mementos Worthwhile Saving

Inspirational word of the week: noble

There are many noble documents and artifacts housed in our residence. If one  could peek  into the rooms hidden behind the beautiful, worn, wooden doors at the entrance one might meet one of my works of art attractively displayed accompanied by a memento of a the past like this little hat here.  From the Canadian Centre of Conservation the fourth agent of deterioration is fire.(http://www.cci-icc.gc.ca/crc/articles/mcpm/index-eng.aspx).  Is your house guardian to your treasured objects of wood or paper?  If  securing the entire place from fire is not up to you, how do you make sure that your stuff is safe and secure?  Do you know of an organization that has helped you carry out this?

I would love to hear from you in the comments section of this blog.
